A fatality occurred on I-59 south between mile markers 219 and 220, Joseph Conner Blackwell, 18, of Fort Payne, was fatality injured when the Suzuki GSX 1000 he was riding collided in the back of a 2006 tractor trailer being driven by Kevin Hughes Reynolds of London, Ky. Another motorcycle, being driven by Jonathon Christon Aaron Farmer, 22 of Section, wrecked riding a 2009 Yamaha YZF, he was taken to Dekalb Regional by Dekalb Ambulance Service. Moments later, James Paty, 58 years old from Chattanooga, Tn, was driving a 1998 Mazda pickup and left the roadway avoiding debris, he was also taken to Dekalb Regional.
