Chief Randy Bynum states:
On February 10, 2012 at 12:06 am Michael Derek Crane, age 26 of Fort Payne, was arrested for Public Intoxication. During the course of the booking process in the Fort Payne City Jail Crane was also charged with Felony Assault on an Officer, after he grabbed an officer in a head lock. Other officers were able to subdue Crane and continue the booking process. The officer was taken to Dekalb Regional where he was treated for minor injuries and later released. Crane was transferred to the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office were his bond was set at $22,500.00 for Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication and Assaulting an Officer. |
